Lorraine Taylor

Head of Medical Negligence | Partner

Lorraine is a Partner and Head of the Medical Negligence department at our Hull office, bringing over 25 years of experience to the role. She has handled a wide range of complex medical negligence claims across nearly every area of medicine and is particularly recognised for her expertise in:

  • Birth injury cases
  • Pressure sore and tissue viability claims
  • Cancer misdiagnosis and delayed diagnosis
  • Fatal claims, including representation at inquests

Lorraine also plays a key strategic role in the department, working closely with our in-house medical advisor to support the team at every stage of case progression, while also managing her own caseload of high-value and sensitive matters.

She is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of legal professionals, working closely with junior colleagues, including trainees and apprentices, to support their development and confidence in this challenging area of law.

Lorraine joined Bridge McFarland LLP in 2003. After qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive, she completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law and was admitted as a Solicitor in January 2013. She became a Partner shortly thereafter and is a member of the firm’s Management Board
